The race is on. Yesterday I finally bought plane tickets .....couldn't get one for Alexandra online, so when I am in Moscow, I get to go to the Aeroflot office and work it out there. (sounds like a delightful little errand, doesn't it --- on the upside, being that it's my 3 time there, I happen to know exactly where that office is). And BTW -- b/c it's an international flight, she needs a ticket, even though she won't have a seat on the plane. Sent off my passport and visa stuff -- that's always very stressful to see if it gets back to me on time. Apartment in Moscow is reserved (exact same place I stayed the first time in Moscow). SO, I think, the trip is set. Now, I get to gather the documents (oh yes, more documents :) -- that this time the US Embassy will need to issue Alexandra's immigrant visa. I am trying to get my house in order, and her room ready -- last night I set up her high chair, put together the diaper genie ... many many more small tasks. I need to set up a Dr.'s appointment for her for when we get home, make sure she gets on my insurance and all the other little details. And, trying to get my work done to at least a somewhat organized or completed state before I leave. The new guy who is going to do my job while I am gone needs to be trained ...so it's a busy busy time. I also have a sense of wanting to do a lot of stuff that I may not have time to do once I have a little girl in my life -- so trying to cram in dr's appointments for me, haircuts, seeing friends ... going out.
Whew.....
Seriously SO excited for you :) These are all the things you've been waiting so long to do!!
