Family Reunion

My mother is going to meet me in Moscow.  She is going to fly in from Budapest on Tuesday -- getting in about an hour after me.  Figured it would be perfect timing, b/c by the time I go through customs, get my bags, find Murat (the driver), and go over to the other terminal at the airport, she'll be there.  We are obviously staying at the same hotel, and she'll be able to come with me on Wednesday to the orphanage to meet her grandchild.  She'll have to head back to Hungary on Thursday around noon, so most likely she won't be able to be there for the court hearing.   I am a little worried about the potential logistical issues -- what if my flight gets totally delayed, or hers does etc. etc.  I also hope that although our hotel is out in one of the northern "suburbs" that we'll be able to do some sightseeing.  I would really like my mother to see Red Square, The Kremlin, St. Basil's -- walk along the Moscow river.... hopefully we'll have some time - -although we'll have to deal with the Metro, and I'll be severely jet lagged the whole time.
I am certain that when my mother watched Soviet tanks rolling down the streets of Budapest in the fall of 1956, she never would have imagined that some day she'd be meeting her American daughter in Moscow, to meet her Russian/Kyrgyz granddaughter......
